Sales Manager - Farm Grain Systems

Salary: $80,000 - $100,000 per year + incentives! | Full-Time | Exempt

Are you someone who understands agriculture, knows how to lead people, and can turn strategy into real results?

We’re looking for a Sales Manager - Farm Grain Systems to take ownership of our sales strategy and help drive growth across our grain storage solutions. This isn’t a “sit back and manage” kind of role-you’ll be leading a team and staying close to the action by working directly with key accounts, dealers, and customers.

Qualifications

What You’ll Do

Sales Leadership & Strategy

  • Build and execute sales strategies for grain systems products
  • Set goals, forecasts, and drive performance across regions
  • Maintain strong pricing discipline and margin performance
  • Analyze market trends and customer needs to guide decisions


Team & Regional Leadership

  • Coach and develop Regional Sales Managers and sales staff
  • Set clear expectations and hold the team accountable to results
  • Support territory planning and dealer growth strategies
  • Build a culture centered on teamwork, integrity, and customer focus


Dealer & Customer Development

  • Take ownership of key “house accounts” as the primary contact
  • Handle full-cycle sales: quoting, order entry, and follow-through
  • Ensure orders are accurate, timely, and executed smoothly
  • Partner with Customer Service, Estimating, and Operations
  • Strengthen dealer, distributor, and customer relationships
  • Support large projects, negotiations, and strategic opportunities
  • Represent the company at trade shows and industry events


Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Engineering, Operations, Marketing, and Customer Service
  • Align sales commitments with production capabilities and timelines
  • Provide real-world market feedback to improve products and processes


Performance & Accountability

  • Monitor pipeline activity, forecasts, and sales performance
  • Report insights and progress to leadership
  • Continuously improve sales processes, tools, and systems


What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Business, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of experience in agricultural or industrial sales, including leadership responsibility
  • Strong knowledge of grain systems, storage, or handling equipment
  • Proven ability to lead teams and drive profitable growth
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and strategic planning skills
  • Ability to build long-term relationships with customers and internal teams
  • Willingness to travel as required


Preferred:

  • Experience with grain bins, conveyors, dryers, or full grain systems
  • Experience in dealer-based or hybrid sales models
  • Background in manufacturing or engineered-to-order environments


Work Environment & Expectations

This role blends office work, travel, and time in the field.

  • Regular travel, including overnight trips
  • Time spent in customer sites, dealer locations, and trade shows
  • A mix of strategic planning and hands-on execution
  • Exposure to agricultural and industrial environments
  • Occasional lifting (up to 25 lbs) and navigating job sites
